Footwear testers are used to determine strength and physical properties of footwear.

The tests that can be conducted on these products vary depending on the applicable standards. The tests conducted in accordance with international standards include: impact, flexing, bending tests.

Footwear test devices include: SHOE TOE IMPACT TESTER DVT SAH A to conduct impact tests on metal or composite toe pieces of worker/safety footwear; COLD INSULATION TESTER FOR SHOES DVT SKY to test thermal insulation of shoes; LEATHER FLEXING TESTER (FLEXOMETER) DVT FM -20 D to conduct flexibility and crack tests on genuine and synthetic leather; HEEL FATIGUE TESTER DVT TOP to conduct impact tests in particular for shoes for women; WHOLE SOLE FLEXING TESTER DVT TEM to measure the enlargement of notches/holes in footwear and rubber materials when subjected to flexing.

Find below detailed information on Shoe toe impact tester DVT SAH A and Whole sole flexing tester DVT TEM.

Shoe toe impact tester DVT SAH A is used mainly to test work safety shoes. Its hammer is made from steel and is able to apply impacts of 100 joule or 200 joule. Attachment devices for different sample sizes are available. It does not apply a second uncontrolled impact but stops automatically. It is equipped with a drop height display. Its Plexiglas protective lid and the fact that the hammer is dropped with a two-hand control ensure safety.

Whole sole flexing tester DVT TEM holds the sample between two jaws and the sample is perforated at 3 points along the line where the folding pressure is at a maximum. At the predetermined speed and during the predetermined period of time a 90° folding movement is applied and the enlargement of the cut/hole is observed. It is equipped with a folding movement counter. For safety purposes, the device automatically stops when its lid has been opened. An optional deep freezer can be added in order to conduct cold ambient tests. The deep freezer is equipped with a digital thermostat and a special lighting unit.
